[edit] Overview
This workflow calculates the overall energy balance of buildings with a monthly resolution, based on the German norm DIN V 18599 (Energy efficiency of buildings — Calculation of the energy needs, delivered energy and primary energy for heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic hot water and lighting)
[edit] Application domains:
- residential buildings and non-residential buildings;
- planned or new building construction and existing buildings.
- multi-zone and mono-zone building model
[edit] Main Hypotheses:
- The building are considered separately, without mutual shadowing or reflexion effect
- The building envelope surfaces are grouped in 9 orientations (horizontal, North, North-West...), corresdonding to the standard monthly irradiances given in Annex A of the norm DIN V 4108-6
[edit] Systems and algorithms
Systems:
- Kepler
- Insel
Algorithms:
- SimStadtPreProc
- UB0039 of Insel
[edit] Proof of concept
This Kepler workflow :
- launches Matlab script in non-interactive mode
- waits for the script to finish
- launches INSEL
- displays the monthly heat demand averages as a Kepler Diagram
- writes all the output information in a file
